We promoted tea, a specialty of Aichi Prefecture, at the Aichi Prefecture Tea Ceremony.
At the Aichi Prefectural Tea Ceremony held at the Aichi Prefectural Government Office yesterday, October 13th
I attended as the chairman of the Aichi Prefecture Tea Industry Youth Association.
The tea ceremony was hosted by Governor Omura and was held in an outdoor setting.
Aichi Prefecture is the second largest producer of tencha (the raw material for matcha) in Japan after Kyoto.
The governor himself promoted Aichi tea.
I also explained to the attendees about tea, a specialty of Aichi Prefecture.

We also enjoyed some delicious tea and sweets, such as Joyo manju.
Everyone was given "chaberin dango" to take home as a souvenir from the tea ceremony.
