Takakoen Tea Hand-Picking Experience
The tea factory is in operation. Tea pickers are also gathered.
The factory renovation is complete,
Currently in operation
After the Sencha (Fukamushicha) is hand-picked,
We moved on to hand-picking the matcha tea leaves in the tea fields.
Tea pickers,
I can't see it when I'm sitting
Over 70 people came yesterday and today.
Thanks to everyone, we were able to pick a lot of tea leaves.
Carefully cultivated for a year,
May is the month when we can finally harvest.

Processed in the factory,
First, the first step.
It's still a long way from becoming matcha,
First,
Thanks to the tea pickers
I am grateful to be able to hand-pick naturally grown matcha.
We held a party to enjoy new tea
Friday, May 7, 2015
We held a party to enjoy new tea.
This project is a collaboration with local moms and orange moms.

In a machine-harvested tea plantation
Picked with one stem and two leaves
It's a simple experience

We dressed up as tea girls and took commemorative photos.
A genuine "kasuri kimono"
I put it through my sleeve.

After that, we returned to Hidamari (next to Takakoen)
Tea ceremony lecture by the owner of Takakaen.
Many people take notes,
I'm glad to see your enthusiasm.

The long-awaited
A tea-filled lunch.
Orange Mama waved her arm.
Comes with Takakaen's new matcha dessert.

To last year's repeat customer,
For those coming from Nagoya,
Local Toyota residents, etc.
Thank you to all the participants.
Please come visit us again.
Tea picking has begun.

First, let's start with the tea plantations where the deep-steamed sencha tea is made.

Takakoen Hand-picked Deep-steamed Tea
In very good weather
Tea picking
We got off to a good start.

My daughter, an elementary school student,
I joined from 7:30am.

Today is a substitute holiday, so
I'm excited.
(The one on the right is after it was removed.)
Tea picking will continue for about a month from today until the end of May.
For a while, we'll be picking sencha tea leaves.
Afterwards, we picked matcha tea leaves.
We will all pick them by hand.
If you are interested, please contact us.
Fifth grade students from Wakazono Elementary School came to experience tea picking. It was broadcast on CBC TV.
On April 28, 2015, 132 fifth grade students from Wakazono Elementary School

The story of the tea tree
We explain how to pick them,

Now, let's experience it.
This time, we had them pick the simple one-stem, two-leaf variety.

Chitty Chitty Bagel...A bagel specialty store made with domestic wheat and homemade yeast
A bakery in Anjo that specializes in bagels.
Chewy bagels with chicken, kinpira, etc.
It goes perfectly with a bagel sandwich.
It's more filling than it looks, so it's recommended for lunch.
Chiki Chiki Bagel's fan base is rapidly increasing.
Get it before it sells out.
Kondo Shiitake Garden Shimoyama Shiitake Farm is a traditional mushroom farm that grows shiitake mushrooms on logs.
Shiitake mushrooms are delicious, whether fried or boiled.
Carrying logs is hard work, and many people quit.
I'm glad to see young people taking part.
Acorn Village InabuSan... Inanabu roadside station.
Mineasahi rice is said to be a mythical variety. Mineasahi rice and its rice flour are only available in Inabu, the birthplace of Mineasahi.
They also sell chaberin dango (sweet rice dumplings) at the request of local residents.
Actually, Mr. Inabu from Acorn Village,
In order to protect the rice landscape of Inabu, we are working hard to take on Inabu's Mineasahi rice from farmers.
As abandoned farmland became a problem, we wanted to do something to help, and that's why we created Chaberin Dango.
Tea dumplings made with Inabu Mineasahi and Takakoen teas and natural water pumped up from underground.
Please take this opportunity.
Finch A Western confectionery shop in Inabu, Toyota City.
Simple and local ingredients that make the most of the ingredients
A variety of sweets.
The recommended dish for kids is okara cookies.
I can't stop munching on it.
Kokui FarmWe strive every day to produce safe, high-quality produce, and are particular about "delicious."
Healthy crops grown like our own children are unique.
Domestically produced soybeans are a precious crop, accounting for less than 5% of the total.
What's more, we offer tofu, natto, miso, and other items made exclusively with soybeans grown in Okui!
They will sell it to you.
The season for chilled tofu is almost here.
Enjoy it for lunch.
Dashenka Na San...a shop that sells handmade bread made with natural yeast and baked in a stone oven
Dashenka brings a variety of different items every time.
Ofukuichi is a hidden gem, with exclusive breads and new products available.
Last time, there was a flat rate and some great value bread.
Every time, there are special deals on bread that you can't miss out on.
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of bread will be available this time.
Tokuhachi Farm Mr./Ms.... He grows vegetables in the Asuke area.
Vegetables grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
They bring you fresh seasonal vegetables.
There are vegetables that you won't find in supermarkets,
It's fun to watch.
FishmongerThey bring you fresh fish.
In fact, it can be quite difficult to buy fish at Takakaen.
Even if the owner buys products labeled as wild, they won't eat them because "they smell like farmed feed."
When I was worried because I couldn't tell just by looking at it, a neighbor introduced me to
This fish shop.
My neighbors came from Sendai and had a hard time trying the fish here.
Apparently they met and were introduced to this fishmonger.
Since then, it has become easier for me to choose fish.
