The location is Takahashi Community Center in Toyota City.
The class lasted for an hour and a half from 7pm to 8:30pm.
They had the opportunity to try hand-picked matcha, hand-picked new tea, roasted green tea, and more.

Japanese Food Culture Lecture for Foreigners
"Compare stone-ground matcha and tea tasting"
The event will be held in the cooking practice room on the 2nd floor of the Toyota Industrial Culture Center.
There are lessons on how to make tea, experiences of grinding matcha with a stone mill, experiences of making and tasting hand-picked matcha,
Make matcha ice cream, try traditional Mikawa hand-picked tea rice, and more.
This is a packed course where you can enjoy tea with all five senses.
Limited to the first 20 people (ages 6 and over)
The cost is 500 yen
Explanations will be given in both Japanese and English.
Participants are foreign residents of Toyota City and the surrounding area, along with their accompanying Japanese companions.

At Toyota City Industrial Culture Center
Japanese food culture course for foreigners,
The event included an experience of grinding matcha in a stone mill and making tea rice balls.
From the recruitment, the number of applicants quickly reached capacity,
Many participants came from outside the city.

I was very happy that not a single person was absent and everyone participated seriously.
Through various experiences and lectures on Japanese tea,
We had a wonderful time that we don't normally get to experience.

We held a special summer vacation event called "Ofukuichi."
First, we started making cajons at 9am.

The lecturer is a wood coordinator.

Other experiential learning (workshops) will begin at 10:00.

Learning about shiitake mushroom logs.
Contrary to my expectations, the shiitake mushrooms did not grow.
I learned a lot from listening to the talk.
Growing shiitake mushrooms on logs takes time,
Raising children is hard work, says a fifth-grade elementary school girl.

Outside, a session began with the completed cajon.
The beautiful sound draws attention.
There was also a relaxing massage and fruit smoothie.

At home, even after the class is over, they are still engrossed in making their own spinning tops.
I hope that everyone will have some fun afterglow.

Content: Learn how to make tea using a tea kettle. (Learn and serve it to your family.)

Start times: 10:00/10:30/11:00/11:30, 20-minute hands-on lessons each
Capacity: 5 people each (20 people total)
Participation fee: 200 yen

・Making musical instruments from Toyota wood Lecturer: Masaaki Higuchi - Mori no Hiroba (wood coordinator)
Content: We will make a "cajon," a percussion instrument that originated in Peru, using Toyota wood.

Work hours: 9:00-12:00
8 participants (elementary school students and above. Lower elementary students must be accompanied by an adult. Special slots available for Wakazono elementary school students)
Participation fee: 5,000 yen (including materials)

・Log-grown Shiitake Mushroom Experience Lecturer: Keita Kondo - Kondo Shiitake Farm (log-grown Shiitake Mushroom Farm)
Content: Harvest shiitake mushrooms from logs and learn about shiitake cultivation.

Start time: 10:00~ Others to be determined
Application: Applications can be made as soon as the store opens on the day.
*As this is a very difficult and first-time undertaking, applications and details will be available on the day.
・Making your own original furikake (seasoning) Instructor: Yamada Kurumi - Kurumi School Cafeteria
Contents: Make your own original furikake by grinding various ingredients in a mortar and pestle and combining them.

(You can bottle it and take it home.)

Capacity: 5 people each (20 people total)
Participation fee: 300 yen
Applications: On the day of opening, on a first-come, first-served basis.
・Simple crafts Instructor: Sanagedai Toy Library
(This is a group that loves children. Twice a month, we make simple toys and play with them.
I enjoy making it with my children and mothers. Let's all make it together!
Content: We will be making simple toys, such as balloon art and spinning tops.
Start time: 10:00~ at any time
Participation fee: Free
Applications: Accepted at any time upon opening on the day
・Granola making Instructor: koha*Added
Starting time: 10:00, reservations accepted at any time
You may also be able to do a little shopping at each booth.
There is also a trial massage corner for moms (and dads and grandparents).
This experiential learning experience is being carried out with the goodwill of the instructors.
In addition, the profits from the past Ofukuichi will be used to cover venue fees, etc.
