Summer vacation project ☆ Hands-on learning (workshop)
The 23rd Ofukuichi was held on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
Since it was summer vacation, we held an experiential learning (workshop) for children.
I learned how to make nerikiri directly from the owner of Toyoda Ryoguchiya, a Japanese confectionery craftsman.
We actually make it.

Next, we grind the matcha in a stone mill.

During the bread-making experience, you will be taught by the owner of Machupan.

Special summer vacation event "Ofukuichi" ☆ Hands-on workshops will be held.

Part 1
Make and taste your own Japanese sweets and matcha
Instructor: Japanese sweets: Koichiro Suzumura (Owner of Toyoda Ryoguchiya)
Matcha: Yoshitaka Noba (owner of Takakoen)
Under the guidance of a Japanese confectioner, we made morning glory sweets (Watame Nerikiri),
You will experience grinding matcha with a stone mill and then brewing your own matcha.
You will be able to taste naturally hand-picked matcha.
After making it, take your time to savor it and have a break.
This is a luxurious collaborative experience where you can learn directly from two artisans of Japanese cuisine.

Knead and make your own bread

Our instructor, Mr. Fujii, is a talented instructor who was ranked No. 1 at the Nagoya Bread Marche.
He is a veteran bread-making instructor who has been teaching at various Dashenka stores for many years.

Squeeze rapeseed oil and make rapeseed dressing.
LecturerUmetani Katsutoshi (Nanohana Farm)
These organically grown rapeseed flowers are grown without pesticides in Toyota City and Miyoshi City as a measure to combat abandoned farmland.
The rapeseed is pressed to make rapeseed oil.
You can also make a dressing using the precious local "Nanohana oil" to take home with you.
Start time: 10:00
Capacity: First 60 people. Participation is open at any time.
Participation fee: 150 yen (including materials and instructor fees)
No application required: Registration opens on the day of opening, and you can join at any time.
Part 4
Gas balloonThe Wonders of Gas~Water, air and helium gas
Lecturer: Toyota Gas Center (Takaoka area)
We will talk about and conduct experiments on water, air, and helium gas, and distribute gas balloons.
Start time: 2 sessions: 10:40~ / 11:30~
Participation fee: 50 yen (including materials and instructor fee)
No registration required: Join on the day
Participation requirements: There are no specific requirements, but the science content is for those in the 4th grade of elementary school or above.
Gas balloons will be distributed, so interested younger students and toddlers are welcome to join in, along with adults.
You can have a variety of valuable experiences.
