A song about picking tea leaves in a tea plantation (the 88th day of the lunar calendar, when summer is approaching)
Some groups even sang along while picking the fruit.
"I have to write my review..."
The garden owner was impressed.

A very energetic fifth grader.
I was glad that they enjoyed the experience.
The fifth graders, parents, and teachers who came

Picking morning dew
At Takakaen, we grow a variety of varieties and hand-pick them.
One of them,
We have been picking "Asatsuyu," a rare tea leaf that is said to be a myth, for the past few days.

Asatsuyu Natural Tea Farm
Asatsuyu is sometimes called natural gyokuro,
This tea leaf has a strong flavor.
However, it is a difficult and labor-intensive variety to cultivate.
The leaves are small,
This year it has grown especially well.
They are taller and more relaxed than the tea pickers who pick the tea leaves while standing.
You can just about see the tea pickers' pink hats.
It's like being in a forest.

This is after hand picking.
The shoots have been picked and the stems are visible.
Even after the buds are picked
The white hat is still visible.
I'm glad that he grew up to be such a fine man.

New matcha tea is available in autumn.
We have started picking Tencha (matcha) tea leaves.
We have been picking Sencha (deep-steamed tea) leaves since April 26th.
On May 3, 2020, we began picking the tencha tea leaves that will become matcha.

Naturally grown, hand-picked tea fields
This is a naturally grown tea plantation where the tea plants grow to the height of an adult.
It's hard to know where the tea pickers are,
It's under a blue bag hanging on the shelf.

I was interviewed by a local cable TV station.
On May 2, 2020, we were interviewed by Himawari Network, a local cable television station serving Toyota City, Miyoshi City, and Nagakute City.

Himawari Network coverage
We explained how to pick tea leaves, how to brew new tea leaves, and how to make tea rice.
