Experience 1

Make chopsticks using Toyota's cypress

Lecturer: Masaaki Higuchi (Representative of Mori no Hiroba)

Contents: Make your own chopsticks out of hinoki cypress. After making them, join in the Nagashi Somen (flowing noodles) experience.

Eat some somen noodles and enjoy freshly made hashi.

Start time: 10:00~ / 11:00~ 1 hour each

Capacity: 5 people each (10 people total) Participation requirements: 1st grade or above

Participation fee: 500 yen (includes materials and Nagashi Somen participation fee)

Original tea making

Lecturer: Yoshitaka Noba (Owner of Takakaen)

Contents: Grind your own powder using a stone mill and make matcha.

You can make your own original tea using the matcha you make and take it home with you.

No application required: Registration opens on the day

Learn about Nori (seaweed)

Lecturer: Hiroshi Sakai (Sakai Nori Shop)

Contents: Are there actually many different types of nori? Learn how nori is made, compare different types of Mikawa nori, and try grilling nori.

After your nori grilling experience, you can eat it right away, or pour it over somen noodles.

Start time: 10:00 - Participate at any time

Participation fee: 100 yen (including ingredients for the nori grilling experience)Comes with a souvenir of chopped seaweed)

Toy crafts

Lecturer: Sanagedai Toy Library

Make your own original postcards with eraser stamps

Lecturer: Tsumugi (Community Activity Support Center)

Contents: Make your own original postcard using an eraser stamp.

We have handmade postcards made from kenaf (a plant) available.

You can stamp it however you like and make a summer greeting card or your own favorite postcard.

Participation fee: 50 yen (including materials and handmade postcards)

It's a bamboo flow somen noodle dish..

Although it is called Nagashi Somen, what flows down the street is

The tea picking at the "New Tea Enjoyment Party" is simple.

Kondo Shiitake Garden Shimoyama Shiitake Farm is a traditional mushroom farm that grows shiitake mushrooms on logs.

 

In February and March, we have a special experience! Experience inoculating shiitake mushrooms on logs.

You can also take it home (purchase it) after the experience.

Take-out purchases are 600 to 900 yen depending on the thickness of the wood.
