On Wednesday, May 14th, we held a tea picking experience at Toyota Co-op "Meglia".<\/p>\n

The number of applicants was more than doubled,<\/p>\n

There were about 30 winners in attendance.<\/p>\n

This time, we are using natural hand-picked tea plants,<\/p>\n

Not one core and two leaves<\/p>\n

(At our tea farm, if the tea is harvested by machine, we offer a simple tea picking experience.<\/p>\n

(They are picked with two leaves per stem.)<\/p>\n

Chameshi is a traditional food of the Mikawa tea region.<\/p>\n

There are many different types of chameshi across the country, but in Mikawa they use tencha tea leaves, which are the tea leaves before they are ground into matcha.<\/p>\n

Of course. This tencha is served as hand-picked tea rice.<\/p>\n

It is sold at Takakoen and is made using only hand-picked tencha.<\/p>\n
