Special summer vacation project: Experiential learning.<\/span><\/h1>\n

Experience 1<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Make chopsticks using Toyota's cypress<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Lecturer: Masaaki Higuchi (Representative of Mori no Hiroba)<\/p>\n

Contents: Make your own chopsticks out of hinoki cypress. After making them, join in the Nagashi Somen (flowing noodles) experience.<\/p>\n

Eat some somen noodles and enjoy freshly made hashi.<\/p>\n

Start time: 10:00~ \/ 11:00~ 1 hour each<\/p>\n

Capacity: 5 people each (10 people total) Participation requirements: 1st grade or above<\/p>\n

Participation fee: 500 yen (includes materials and Nagashi Somen participation fee)<\/p>\n

Original tea making<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Lecturer: Yoshitaka Noba (Owner of Takakaen)<\/p>\n

Contents: Grind your own powder using a stone mill and make matcha.<\/p>\n

You can make your own original tea using the matcha you make and take it home with you.<\/p>\n

Start time: 10:00 - Participate at any time<\/p>\n

Participation fee: 100 yen<\/p>\n

No application required: Registration opens on the day<\/p>\n

Experience 3<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Learn about Nori (seaweed)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Lecturer: Hiroshi Sakai (Sakai Nori Shop)<\/p>\n

Contents: Are there actually many different types of nori? Learn how nori is made, compare different types of Mikawa nori, and try grilling nori.<\/p>\n

After your nori grilling experience, you can eat it right away, or pour it over somen noodles.<\/p>\n

Contents: A simple toy craft. Make and play with a "surprise balloon."<\/p>\n

Participation fee: Free<\/p>\n

Experience 5<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Make your own original postcards with eraser stamps<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Lecturer: Tsumugi (Community Activity Support Center)<\/p>\n

Contents: Make your own original postcard using an eraser stamp.<\/p>\n

We have handmade postcards made from kenaf (a plant) available.<\/p>\n

You can stamp it however you like and make a summer greeting card or your own favorite postcard.<\/p>\n

Start time: 10:00<\/p>\n

Participation fee: 50 yen (including materials and handmade postcards)<\/p>\n

No application required: Registration opens on the day<\/p>\n

Those who have experienced it can participate<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

It's a bamboo flow somen noodle dish.<\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Although it is called Nagashi Somen, what flows down the street is<\/p>\n

Homemade chilled noodles from Heartpia Toyota no Mori.<\/p>\n

and,<\/p>\n

Seasonal local vegetables,<\/p>\n

cheese,<\/p>\n

There are plenty of other fun things to do.<\/p>\n

The flowing somen noodles were played on a bamboo slide (?) made by Mori no Hiroba in Toyoda.<\/p>\n

So, let's do it.<\/p>\n

Number of people limited: 5 people per time slot<\/p>\n

Time: Starts at 10:30<\/p>\n

(held every 15 minutes)<\/p>\n

Those who take the chopstick lesson will also receive Nagashi Somen noodles.<\/p>\n

This summer's experience of the Ofuku Market is<\/p>\n

In addition, we use the profits from the Ofukuichi fairs to cover the rent for the venue.<\/p>\n
