This matcha includes a blend of hand-picked leaves and is ideal for latte / confectionery and for usucha (lightly whisked matcha). With its intense flavour and high aroma, it is especially recommended for dairy and oat-milk lattes, as well as a wide range of sweets.
The tea is cultivated, processed, refined, and stone-ground entirely by the owner of Kokaen, a champion of the Kyoto Tea Appraisal Technique Competition.
Production takes place in Yoshiwara Town, a historic tea-growing region dating back to the Edo period, where the soil is enriched mainly with organic-based fertilizers, and the tea is grown with an emphasis on working in harmony with the natural environment. From soil preparation in the fields to the final stone-ground powder, each step is carefully built up, resulting in a matcha with rich flavour and aroma.

手摘みの茶葉入りの抹茶です。
ラテや製菓用途に特におすすめのほか、薄茶としてもお楽しみいただけます。力強い風味と高い香りが特徴で、牛乳やオーツミルクを使ったラテや、さまざまなスイーツにもよく合います。
栽培・製茶・仕上げ・石臼挽きに至るまで、京都府茶審査技術競技大会で優勝経験を持つ高香園の園主が、すべての工程を自ら行っています。 生産は、江戸時代からの茶産地として知られる愛知県豊田市・吉原町で行われ、土づくりには主に有機質肥料を用いています。畑づくりから粉末になるまで、一つひとつの工程を丁寧に積み重ねることで、香味豊かな抹茶に仕上げています。
